Loyola Marymount hires Mandell as Men’s Basketball Video Coordinator

Loyola Marymount University men’s basketball Head Coach Stan Johnson has announced the hiring of Josh Mandell as the program’s next Video Coordinator.

“We are excited to welcome Josh to our program,” said Johnson. “He has a bright future in the game without question. I have no doubt how much he will impact both our players and staff. I am thankful he decided to be a part of what we are trying to accomplish.”

After graduating from the University of Washington, Mandell returned to the Huskies basketball program as a Graduate Assistant in 2023-24. During his time in Seattle, Mandell specialized in both on-court skill instruction and video and analytics through top programs and websites. In total, Mandell spend five seasons working with the UW men’s basketball team.

“I’m truly thankful for the opportunity to join Coach Stan Johnson‘s staff and serve the LMU program and community,” said Mandell. “This program is primed to accomplish great things, and the staff and student-athletes have continuously raised the standard over the last four years. I feel so privileged to be here. I could not be more excited to be a part of this special group and be a Lion!”

Mandell will begin his role with LMU immediately.
