I can confirm that the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley will add Patrick Nee to their men’s basketball staff as a special assistant to the head coach.

Nee had spent the past two seasons as the head coach at Garden City CC (KS). After departing GCC back in February, he had been working as a scout for JUCO Advocate. Nee has also served as the head coach at Independence CC (2009-13), and Highland CC (2006-09). The JUCO veteran has had assistant coaching stops at Seward CC, Independence CC, and Central Florida CC.

An official announcement is expected as early as today.
