Salem Community College (NJ) will be re-starting their men’s basketball program for the 2019-20 season. I can confirm that they will tab Cabrini College (PA) assistant coach A.J. Williams as their new head basketball coach.
Williams is a 2013 Cabrini grad who became an assistant at his alma mater back in August. He had previously served as an assistant coach at Immaculata University and Wesley College, and spent two seasons as the head coach at Seaford (DE) High School. Williams will finish the season at Cabrini before assuming his duties at SCC at the conclusion of the season.
Salem CC last fielded athletics teams in 2014. The school recently hired former Centenary College AD Robert Bunnell to lead their revival.
More on this when it becomes official.
