Following up on a report from earlier tonight. San Jose State has now made the firing of Jean Prioleau official:
San José State University Athletics Director Marie Tuite announced on Friday that there will be a change in leadership in the men’s basketball program.
Jean Prioleau, hired on August 4, 2017, has concluded his tenure at San José State. His four-year head coaching record with the Spartans was 20-93.
“After meeting with Coach Prioleau, he was informed that the university is making a change in leadership in the men’s basketball program,” Tuite said. “I want to thank Coach Prioleau for everything he has done for this program. We wish him and his family all the best in the future.”
A national search for the new coach will begin immediately.
