Penny Hardaway released an Instagram video earlier tonight where he announced that he will remain as the head coach at Memphis. There had been much speculation about his future over the past few days, after news broke that he was involved with the Orlando Magic job. The Instagram announcement can be found HERE.

Also, news coming from multiple outlets tonight that Hardaway intends to hire veteran college and NBA coach Larry Brown as an assistant. The 80-year old Brown, who won a National Championship as the head coach at Kansas back in 1988, last coached at the college level back in 2016 when he was the head coach at SMU.

The official announcement on Brown’s hiring is expected by the end of the week.
