SFA adds George Brandon Jr. to MBB staff as Video Coordinator

Stephen F. Austin men’s basketball coach filled the position of video coordinator on his staff with the addition of George Brandon. Brandon comes to Nacogdoches from Wisconsin-Parkside, where he served as a graduate assistant coach for the past two seasons.

“I am thrilled to introduce George as a part of our staff”, said Keller. “George has a fantastic personality and knowledge about the game of basketball. He brings great talents to our program that we have been lacking. I look forward to seeing his abilities enhance the Lumberjack Basketball Program.”

At UWP, Brandon was tasked with being the team’s academic advisor and operations coordinator, handling the logistics of meals, itineraries and trips. He also handled video duties such as cutting clips, preparing highlights and film sessions, and served as an on-floor coach during practice sessions as well.

Prior to joining the staff at Parkside, Brandon was the head student manager at Southern Illinois, where he aided the Salukis in preparing for practice, preparing and handling meals, and performing all other duties for coaches as assigned.

“I am so grateful to have the opportunity to join such a historic program and work alongside Coach Keller and his staff. I am excited to be a part of the SFA tradition and represent this team and university. Axe ‘Em!”
