Arkansas Fires Pelphrey

After an 18-13 season that ended with three consecutive losses, Arkansas has dismissed head coach John Pelphrey, according to ESPN.com. Pelphrey met with his AD and players today. A formal news conference will made sometime today or tomorrow.

BREAKING: Georgia Tech fires Hewitt

Paul Hewitt has been fired as the head coach at Georgia Tech. Hewitt finished his career with a 190-162 mark and led Georgia Tech to the national championship game in 2004. He is still owed over $7 Million on his current contract.

Utah Fires Boylen

The University of Utah has fired men’s basketball coach Jim Boylen. Boylen was 69-60 overall in four seasons at Utah but had back to back losing seasons. A national search will begin immediately.

CSUB Head Coach Contract Contract Will Not Be Renewed

Cal State Bakersfield head men’s basketball coach Keith Brown’s contract will not be renewed. Brown spent six seasons as head coach of the Roadrunners while guiding the program through the NCAA Division I transition process. In four full Division I seasons Brown was 32-83. His overall record as head coach at CSUB was 68-105.
