Beaury named DBO at Siena

New head coach Gerry McNamara has completed his first Siena Men’s Basketball Coaching Staff with the announcement of Ryan Beaury as Director of Basketball Operations.

“Ryan brings such a versatile skill set,” said McNamara. “He’s a Swiss Army knife. He’s great on the court with the players, does incredible film breakdowns, and has an infectious personality. He’s a young coach that has a very bright future, and I’m thrilled that we have him at Siena!”

Beaury joins the Saints after spending the past season serving as the video coordinator at Syracuse. He was previously a graduate assistant for the Orange from 2021-23, where he assisted with analytical studies, film work, and the creation of opponent scouting reports, while also producing recruiting-related videos.

“I am beyond thankful to Coach McNamara for giving me the opportunity to be a part of his staff at Siena,” said Beaury. “The passion that he brings to this program is contagious, and I can’t wait to get to work. I am grateful to be along for the journey.”

As an undergraduate at Syracuse, Beaury served as the head student manager for the men’s basketball program his final two years (2019-21). He coached the club team for two years, and also spent his summers working Hoop Group camps as well as various camps in the Capital Region.

A native of Hadley, New York, Beaury is a 2021 graduate of Syracuse with his bachelor’s degree in sports management. He completed his Master’s in Instructional Design in the School of Education in 2023.

Beaury and his fiancé, Callie, are set to be married in May.
