Former NJIT head coach Brian Kennedy, and former Northeastern assistant Manny Adako have joined Dr. Brett Reed’s staff at Lehigh.
Kennedy spent seven seasons (2016-23) as the head coach at NJIT where he went 81–123 (.397). His best season came in 2018-19, when he led the Highlanders to a 22-11 record, and advanced to the second round of the CIT. The coaching veteran also spent seven seasons as an assistant at NJIT, and five on the bench at DePaul.
Adako had been on the staff at his alma mater Northeastern since 2017-18. He began his tenure as a graduate manager before being elevated to assistant coach prior to the 2018-19 season. Following his graduation from NU, Adako played professionally for seven years in Holland, Egypt, Qatar and Dubai.
No official announcement has been made yet by Lehigh, but both coaches now appear on the Mountain Hawks 2024-25 roster.
