University of Buffalo assistant men’s basketball coach Hunter Jenkins has resigned.

According to the Buffalo News, Jenkins had been away from the for personal reasons, and had not been present at any of Buffalo’s games this season.

Jenkins was hired at UB back in May, after spending one season as an assistant at Odessa CC (TX). He had also served as a graduate assistant under Chris Beard at Texas Tech, and an assistant at Trinity Valley CC (TX).

There is no word yet on how Jenkins position will be replaced on Jim Whitesell’s staff.
