Cal Lutheran adds Milligan as Associate Head Basketball Coach

California Lutheran University Athletics announced that Kyle Milligan would join the department as associate head coach of men’s basketball.

Milligan will be coming to Thousand Oaks from Chaminade University-Hawaii where he held the same title for the past year and the title of assistant coach for the previous four years. For the Kingsmen, Kyle will assist with all aspects of the program including recruiting, game preparation, player development, scheduling, and operations.  The program will give him every opportunity to continue his path to being a collegiate head coach.

“Kyle’s experience at the college level will be instrumental to not only the growth of our players and our program but to me as well,” says Head Coach Russell White ’94. “His experience as a recruiter, his ties to many high school and club programs on the west coast, and the game experience he has received at Chaminade as the associate head coach will be invaluable.  I am thrilled to have Kyle and his fiancé join our family.”

Milligan returns to the SCIAC where he found success on the court during his collegiate career at the University of Redlands playing in 74 games in three seasons before graduating in 2016. The Portland, Oregon native transferred to Redlands after his second year at Hawaii Pacific University.

“I can’t thank Russell enough for this opportunity for myself and my family,” says Kyle Milligan. “I look forward to being back in the SCIAC, a conference that means a great deal to me, and a part of a Cal Lu program that continues to reach new heights under his leadership.”

Milligan will hit the road recruiting for the Kingsmen during the summer.
