The Lamar State-Port Arthur job has gotten a lot of interest. From what I’ve heard, there are close to 120 applicants to date. One candidate who I can confirm is involved is former Southeast Missouri State / Duquesne / Murray State head coach Scott Edgar. He has also been an assistant at Tennessee and Arkansas.
HOT RUMOR: Colorado State set to hire
It looks like Colorado State is set to name a new head coach. Rumors are circulating that New Mexico assistant Craig Neal will be the choice. I can confirm that it definitely won’t be New Mexico State head coach Marvin Menzies – he issued a statement a few hours ago saying that he has withdrawn
BREAKING: Perri named head coach at LIU
Jack Perri has been named head men’s basketball coach at LIU Brooklyn. Perri takes the reigns of the Blackbirds program after Jim Ferry took a similar position at Duquesne. Perri, 36, has spent seven seasons on the LIU staff, including the last five as associate head coach. He was promoted to that position in August
