I can confirm through great sources that new Chicago State head coach Lance Irvin will hire Rodell Davis and Brett Putz as assistant coaches.

Davis had most recently been working with Irvin at Morgan Park HS in Chicago, but is no stranger to the DI level. He has been an assistant at Drake, Providence, and Loyola (Chicago). Davis has also served as the Athletic Director at Kennedy-King College in Chicago.

Putz became an assistant at Highland CC (IL) back in June after spending two seasons as the Director of Basketball Operations at Nebraska Omaha. Before that, he was an assistant at Wayne State College (NE).

An official announcement on these hires is expected shortly.
