Niagara University men’s basketball head coach Chris Casey has received a contract extension through the 2018-19 season.

Casey, a coaching veteran of 29 years, is entering his third season leading the men’s basketball program. Casey’s guidance of the team is paramount as he is rebuilding a program which has been one of the youngest teams in the nation in the last two seasons.

“Coach Casey has worked tirelessly to build the basketball program every day during the past two seasons and has generated momentum with the excellent recruiting class to complement the returnees,” said Director of Athletics Simon Gray.
“I am extremely grateful to Father Maher and Simon Gray for this contract extension,” Casey said. “Niagara University fosters growth, academic achievement and a rich basketball tradition, and I am honored to continue to be part of it.”
