The University of Sioux Falls defeated Concordia-St. Paul last night 73-69. The win enabled USF head coach Chris Johnson to become the program’s career wins leader with 155, passing Shane Murphy (154, 2001-08).
Since taking over eight seasons ago, Johnson has guided the Cougars to four 20-win seasons, three post-season appearances, two conference tournament championships and one regular season conference crown. Just twice in his run has the Cougars finished below .500. In fact, he has led the team to 15 wins six times and recorded four 20-win seasons with the 25-10 campaign in 2009-10 the best finish.
USF wraps-up the regular season tonight at Minnesota State.
