Fran Brown is entering his first season as the top assistant coach for the Clarkson University Men’s Basketball team in 2014-15.
Brown, a 2011 graduate of Boston University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and a 2013 master’s degree in Sports Journalism, served his alma mater’s basketball program in numerous ways as an undergraduate and graduate student. He assisted the team’s Director of Basketball operations from 2007-2011 and was in charge of the student-manager staff for a team that won the 2011 America East conference. As a graduate student, Brown elevated his participation level by serving as an assistant to the staff with regards to scouting reports, film exchange, recruiting team academics and community and alumni outreach, and in the past year he worked as the team’s video coordinator.
A native of Malden, MA, Brown has also worked numerous camps, including the Joe Jones Basketball Clinic, the Boston University High School Showcase and the Boston University Elite Camp.
