The Glenville State men’s basketball program, along with Head Coach Stephen Dye, is pleased to announce the hiring of Lamont Cole as an Assistant Coach.
Cole, who played for the Pioneers from 2012 to 2014, helped GSC reach the NCAA DII Tournament for the first time in school history his senior season. During his career he played in 58 total games and scored 374 total points while averaging 4.4 points per game.
After his GSC playing careerĀ ended in 2014-15 he served as a student assistant for the Pioneers when the team won the MEC Conference Tournament for the first time since 1972 and earned a bid to the NCAA DII Tournament.
Cole graduated from Glenville State with a Board of Regents Degree in 2015. Before coming to GSC he attended Jefferson Township High School in Dayton, Ohio where he won a State Basketball Championship his senior year in 2010.
He is the son of Lyle and Diane Cole and resides in Glenville.
