Cole Schreiner Named Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at Northland College

Northland College Head Men’s Basketball Coach Scott Sorenson announced the addition of Cole Schreiner as Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach.

A native of Eleva, Wisconsin, Schreiner comes to Northland College having spent last season as an assistant coach at Judson University in Elgin, Illinois. While at Judson, Schreiner was the top varsity assistant coach, as well as the Head Coach of the junior varsity squad. His main duties at Judson were overseeing skill development, scouting opponents and recruiting student-athletes.

Prior to his time at Judson, Schreiner spent one season as the Freshman Head Coach at Mundelein High School in Mundelein, Illinois. He also spent time coaching within the Twin Ports Pride AAU program which is based out of Superior, Wisconsin. In addition, Schreiner spent one season with the Spooner High School program and worked as a volunteer assistant with the UW-Superior men’s basketball team for one season.

Schreiner received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration with a minor in Information Technology from the University of Wisconsin-Superior in 2013. While at UW-Superior, Schreiner was a member of the men’s basketball team that reached the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference playoffs three times.

A 2008 graduate of Eleva-Strum High School, Schreiner helped lead the varsity team to the 2008 Division 4 Wisconsin State Championship.

Schreiner has officially begun his duties at Northland where he will also assist with the Student Life Department. He will continue his graduate studies in Business Administration as well.
