Zack Curran has joined the Air Force Men’s Basketball staff as the Director of Basketball Operations, announced by head coach Joe Scott.

“We are thrilled to have Zack join our staff,” Scott said.  “His overall basketball experiences fills a very important need within our program. He is a good compliment to our other staff members and we look forward to his contribution to Air Force basketball moving forward.”

Curran comes to the Academy after two seasons as the director of basketball operations at Atlantic-10 conference member George Mason, where he was responsible for all travel logistics and COVID safety protocols, managed all recruiting operations and coordinated program and player needs with every university department. He also assisted the staff with video scouting projects and skill development plans.

Before his time with the Patriots, Curran was the director of Hoop Group Elite Camps, a series of elite basketball camps considered a world leader in college exposure and skill instruction for high school athletes. As the director, he handled recruitment and logistics for the camps and tournaments.

Curran worked as an assistant coach at Marymount University in Arlington, Va., for the 2015-16 season.  He is a 2015 graduate of Virginia Tech with a bachelor’s degree in economics.
