I can confirm that Lipscomb assistant Kevin Carroll will be named as the new head basketball coach at D2 Trevecca Nazarene University.

Carroll has been on the staff at Lipscomb for the past four seasons, and was an assistant at VMI before that. He has previously served as a head coach at the D2 level, leading the program at Maryville University in Saint Louis from 2010 to 2017. Prior to his time at Maryville, Carroll was an assistant at Air Force.

Carroll will replace Omar Mance, who mutually parted ways with Trevecca back in late January. TNU finished the 2022-23 season with a 2-24 record.

Fun fact: Lipscomb and Trevecca Nazarene are located about five miles apart.
