Steve Hawkins will be named as the head coach at D2 Quincy University (IL).

The former Western Michigan head coach spent 1991-2000 as the head coach at QU before becoming an assistant at WMU and later the head coach.

Hawkins went 291–262 (.526) at Western Michigan, including league championships in 2004 and 2014. During his first stint at Quincy, he put together a 137–111 (.552) record.

The veteran head coach beat out SEMO assistant Sam McMahon, Parkland CC head coach Anthony Figueroa, and one more local JUCO coach for the position.
