D2 Minnesota State Moorhead Finalists

 Minnesota State University Moorhead athletic director Chad Markuson has announced three finalists for the Dragon men’s basketball head coaching position. These three individuals will be on campus for interviews this week.

The finalists are Tim Bergstraser, current Dragon assistant men’s basketball coach; Mark Darnall, assistant coach at Eastern Washington; and Keven Bradley, associate head men’s basketball coach at Hillsdale College. 

Bergstraser has served as the top assistant coach at MSUM since May 2018. He has helped the Dragons reach the NCAA tournament twice during that span and also helped MSUM to its first NSIC tournament title this past March. He was a graduate assistant from 2015-17 at MSUM, helping the Dragons to a 54-12 mark and two trips to the NCAA tournament.  He is a St. Cloud State graduate. 

Darnall just completed his first season as an assistant coach at Eastern Washington. Prior to that, he was an assistant coach at Chico State in California for four seasons, helping the Wildcats to two postseason appearances. Prior to that he was an assistant at Wisconsin-Platteville and an assistant coach at UC Davis from 2011-16. Darnall is a 2009 graduate of Illinois State.

Bradley has been the associate head coach at Hillsdale College since 2020. Bradley was an assistant coach at Parkside for seven seasons, including serving as associate head coach for six seasons, helping the Rangers to a 131-74 record during that time. Bradley was an assistant at Upper Iowa from 2009-13. He is a 2006 graduate of Lawrence University in Wisconsin.
