Southwest Baptist University Athletics has announced that Aaron Niven, head coach for the men’s basketball program, will not return for the 2026-2027 season. His third season as head coach concluded on Saturday as the team ended shy of the GLVC tournament. Niven’s record while at the helm of the program was 27-55 overall and 14-46 in Conference play.
“We want to thank Coach Niven for his service and work to Southwest Baptist Athletics and to our Student-athletes,” said Director of Athletics, Clark Sheehy. “He has enhanced the academic success of our department and has built into our athletes a character that will serve them well.”
