Following-up on my TWEET from last night…

I can confirm through multiple sources that Centenary University (NJ) head men’s basketball coach Dirk Kelly has resigned.

Kelly took over as the interim head coach in late January of last season, after serving as an assistant coach at the school. He was later elevated to full-time head coach in March, 2023. Prior to his time with the Cyclones, he had tremendous success over 26 seasons as a high school coach in New Jersey. He also spent one season as the head coach at Sussex County CC, where he set the single season wins record.

No word on an interim head coach yet, but Centenary will now be on to their 5th head men’s basketball coach since 2017. The Cyclones are currently 0-2 so far this season.
