I can confirm that Ithaca College will hire Drew University’s Mike McSloy as their new head men’s basketball coach.
McCloy had been the Rangers head coach for the past three seasons, where he put together a 57-22 (.722) record. This past season he led his team to a 24-4 (18-0) mark, and captured the Landmark Conference Championship.
Prior to his time at Drew, McSloy spent three seasons as the head coach at St. Joseph’s University Long Island. He has also served as an assistant at Gettysburg, NYU, Vassar, Connecticut College, and SUNY Maritime.
McSloy will replace Waleed Farid, who departed Ithaca back in late May to become the head coach at NYU.
An official announcement is expected shortly.
