I have heard that Jamie Benton is no longer the head basketball coach at Johnson & Wales University (RI).
Benton had led the Wildcats for the past 22 seasons, compiling a 293-269 (.521) record during his tenure. His teams captured three GNAC Championships and made a run to the NCAA Division III Sweet 16 in 2015-16.
A former standout at Boston College, Benton spent four seasons as an assistant at Johnson & Wales before taking over as head coach in 2004.
