I can confirm that D3 Muhlenberg College intends to hire Maine Farmington’s Quinn Newton as their new head men’s basketball coach.
Newton has been the head coach at UMF for the past two seasons where he has gone 36-19 (.655), which includes a 23-6 (17-1 NAC) record this past year. Newton’s Beavers also captured the 2025-26 NAC Championship, and won their first round game in the NCAA D3 Tournament.
In addition to his time as a head coach, Newton has also worked as an assistant at Bates, Southern Maine, Hampden-Sydney ,and Huntingdon.
An official announcement here is expected as early as Friday.
