I can confirm through multiple sources that Dagan Nelson will step away as the head men’s basketball coach at D3 NYU.

Nelson was hired as the head coach at NYU back in the spring of 2018. In his four years with the Violets, he went 30-45 (.400). His team did not play in 2020-21 due to COVID. This past season was Nelson’s best at NYU, as he led his team to a 14-11 (4-10 UAA) record. The veteran coach also served as the head coach at SUNY New Paltz (2007-11), and as an assistant at Eastern Kentucky Stony Brook, Pace, and Concordia.
