I can confirm that Plattsburgh State will hire Mike Blaine as their new Head Men’s Basketball Coach. The official announcement will be made later this afternoon.

Blaine has been the head coach at Medaille College (NY) for the past five seasons, where he has compiled an 84-55 record. He was tabbed as the AMCC Coach of the Year in 2016-17 after his squad went 21-7 and captured the league championship. Blaine’s teams have participated in either the NCAA or ECAC Tournament in four out of his five seasons at Medaille.

Before being taking over as the Mavericks head coach in 2014, Blaine spent time at Cornell, UMES, Radford, Army, and James Madison.
