I can confirm that D3 Pratt Institute (NY) will name Dave Danzig as their new head men’s basketball coach. He will replace Chris Thompson, who became an assistant at NYU back in June.

Danzig worked as an assistant last season on Thompson’s staff at Pratt. He also spent time as an assistant at D1 St. Peter’s, and served under Bob Hurley, Sr. at powerhouse St. Anthony’s (NJ). Additionally, Danzig worked for three years at the pro level overseas as an assistant coach with MHP Riesen of the BBL/First League in Ludwigsburg, Germany.

An official announcement is expected this week.
