I can confirm a Jeff Goodman report from earlier today that D3 Trinity (TX) head coach Jimmy Smith is headed to Stephen F. Austin as an assistant coach.

Smith has been the Tigers head coach for the past five seasons, where he has gone 98-24 (.803). This past year, he led his team to a 22-5 (14-2 SCAC) record.

Smith has also been the head coach at Schreiner, Millsaps, and Texas Lutheran, and owns a 201-109 (.648) overall mark in 12-seasons.
