Saint Francis University men’s basketball head coach Luke McConnell has announced the addition of Nathan Cullo and Daunte Wilcott to his coaching staff as the Red Wolves prepare for the 2026-27 season.
Cullo joins the staff as an assistant coach, while Wilcott will serve as a graduate assistant.
“I am beyond excited to introduce Nate Cullo & Daunte Wilcott to the Saint Francis family,” McConnell said. “Nate and Daunte are both relentless workers and high character individuals who elevate every program they’ve been a part of. They have a passion for teaching and building relationships which will greatly benefit our players and university campus.”
Cullo brings three years of collegiate coaching experience to Saint Francis after serving as an assistant coach at PennWest Edinboro.
During his time with the Fighting Scots, Cullo helped guide the program to back to back playoff runs Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC). It marked the first time in 18 years that Edinboro reached the postseason in consecutive years in 18 years.
Cullo also played an important role in recruiting and developing five All-Conference selections during his three seasons at Edinboro.
Prior to his coaching career, Cullo played three seasons at Clarion University. After missing one season while recovering from an ACL injury, Cullo elected to forgo his final season of eligibility to pursue his goal of becoming a college basketball coach.
A native of Pittsburgh, Cullo played his high school basketball at Vincentian Academy, where he was a 1,000-point scorer and helped lead the program to two WPIAL championships and a PIAA runner-up finish.
Cullo earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Clarion before earning a master’s degree in Exercise Science and Health from Edinboro.
Wilcott, a native of Erie, Pennsylvania, was also on the Edinboro staff last season.
He began his collegiate playing career at Medaille College, where he helped the program win a conference championship and advance to the NCAA Division III National Tournament. He also earned Third Team All-Conference honors.
Wilcott later transferred to PennWest Edinboro, where he surpassed 1,000 career points and earned his bachelor’s degree in Sport Management.
After completing his playing career, Wilcott remained with the team as a volunteer assistant coach.
The Saint Francis Red Wolves open the season Nov. 6 at home against Susquehanna University.
