Odd situation at D3 Lake Forest College…

Earlier today, I reported that Ryan Davis was no longer the head coach at D3 Lake Forest College. I reached out to LFC, and was told that the “position is open” before rolling with the article. Well, seems like there are a few things at play here.

Davis is currently still the head coach, BUT the position is also open. Apparently, when he was hired two years ago, it was on a two-year interim contract (which it never said in the original press release).

I have heard from multiple sources on this one who tell me that LFC is currently accepting applications for the position, and that Davis will apply. Interesting to see where this one will go, but seems to me that they have a pretty strong internal candidate.
