Daily Dirt – 3/28/19

A few quick hitters to start the day…

  • St. Joe’s is making progress in their search to replace Phil Martelli. So far, there have been nine coaches interviewed – eight in person, and one via Skype (still playing??). Philadelphia 76ers assistant Billy Lange is a hot name here and has already interviewed.
  • I can confirm that Dartmouth has parted ways with assistant coach John Andrzejek. He joined the Big Green staff prior to this past season, and had the University of San Francisco and Johns Hopkins.
  • I have heard that Bob Simon will join the new staff at Siena. The former assistant at Alabama and Providence had also spent time as an assistant at Fairfield (with new Siena head coach Carmen Maciariello).
  • I can confirm that Cory Cole has resigned as the head basketball coach at DII Oklahoma Christian University. Cole, and OCU Hall of Famer, had been the head coach of the Eagles for the past three seasons (31-54). I have heard that Kendre Talley has been named as the interim head coach as a search takes place.
