A bunch of things that I’ve heard…

• I have heard that Todd Turner’s group has the Cleveland State search. It sounds like the job won’t pay as much as it did when Gary Waters was there. I’ve heard that it will be closer to the $220,000-$250,00 range (down from nearly $400,000). I smell high major assistant hire here…

• CarrSports Consulting has the Seattle U. search. I’ll pass along some names as soon as I hear them.

• A hot name at Miami (OH) is Butler assistant and Ohio native Ryan Pedon. He is a former Miami (OH) assistant (2005-10) and graduate assistant (2000-02). College Sports Solutions is handling this one which I’ve heard will pay in the $330,000-$350,000 range. With this price tag, I would assume that there will be a bunch of current head coaches in the mix as well (in fact some are speculating that head coaching experience will be required, which would then knock my “hot” name out of contention). I should have a better idea of names in the next few days.

• Interviews are under way at DIII Milikin University. Some names that I’ve heard who have had or will have on-campus interviews here are long-time Augustana College assistant Tom Jessee, and former Elmhurst College head coach Mark Scherer.
