Daily Dirt – 4/15/20

Some mid-week dirt…

  • I can confirm that Chase Campbell is no longer the head coach at NAIA Wiley College (TX). He was hired there last July after spending time as an assistant at Tuskegee. Wiley went 13-13 (10-8) last season. It sounds like current assistant Ashton DeMurrell could be in a position to take over the program.
  • NJCAA Rockland CC (NY) has also opened as head coach Tom Cromer has resigned. He had been the coach there since last September – the Hawks went 8-16 (1-7) this past season.
  • New Bossier Parrish CC (LA) head coach J.A. Anglin will add Casey Apetrei as an assistant coach. Apetrei has most recently served as the associate head coach at Lamar State Port Arthur (TX). The Louisiana native has also worked at LSU Alexandria, Southern University, and Frank Phillips JC (TX). An official announcement is expected shortly.
  • Word on the street is that the search at D2 Maryville University (MO) is done – job has been offered and accepted. Working to confirm this one now.
