A quiet Monday so far, but here’s but I’ve got….
UConn assistant Andre LaFleur is going to accept the associate head job at Providence under new head coach Ed Cooley. LaFleur has been at UConn for the past nine seasons. Current UConn director of administration Glen Miller will be elevated to assistant coach to replace LaFleur. Miller is the former head coach at Brown and Penn, and he is a UConn alum.
Steve Masiello’s staff is starting to take shape at Manhattan. I’ve mentioned before that Scott Padgett, who was on staff last year, will remain. He and Masiello are both Kentucky guys. It also sounds like Matt Grady will be added to the staff. He was a graduate assistant at Louisville who has also worked for the Hoop Group.
I’ve heard that College of Eastern Utah assistant Chris Skinkis is going to take a similar position at Indian Hills. Skinkis has also been an assistant at St. Norbert and Lewis.
VCU assistant Mike Jones is involved at Florida A&M. My sources have said that he interviewed there last week. He was an assistant at Georgia before landing at VCU.
