I few quick things that I’ve heard…

• Following up on a tweet that I sent earlier…I can confirm that DII Central Washington will hire Lewis-Clark State’s Brandon Rinta as their new head coach. Rinta is a CWU alum who has had a ton of success at LCSC. The official announcement is expected later today.

• I have heard that Mercer DBO Josh Davis will be named as an assistant at Oklahoma Baptist. Last season was his first at Mercer after spending five seasons as an assistant at DII Limestone College (SC). Davis worked with new OBU head coach Jason Eaker on the Bears staff last season.

• I mentioned back on 4/5 that Justin Hutson would bring Tim Shelton to Fresno State with him (Daily Dirt – 4/5/18). I can now confirm that move. Shelton had spent the past eleven seasons at San Diego State as a player, administrative staffer, and assistant coach. An official announcement is expected shortly.
