Story: Adam Nelson (@HD_DirtKing)

A few quick things…

I have heard that Middle Tennessee assistant Sean Dixon is in the mix to join Brad Brownell’s staff at Clemson. Dixon has been at MTSU since 2018, and has also worked at UNC Asheville and at his alma mater Presbyterian College (SC). I mentioned all of the movement on Brownell’s staff yesterday in my State of South Carolina Dirt. More on this one as I hear it.

I’ve heard from good sources that new Omaha head coach Chris Crutchfield will add Brandt Danals as the new Director of Basketball Operations. Danals had been the DBO at North Alabama for the past two years, and had previously served as the head coach at NAIA Holy Family College (WI). An official announcement is expected shortly.

Word on the street is that University of Central Oklahoma assistant coach Daniel Wheeler will be named as the new head coach at D2 East Central University (OK). Wheeler has been on the UCO staff for the past seven seasons and has previously been at Missouri Western. An official announcement is forthcoming.

From Jon Rothstein: St. Joe’s will hire former Georgia assistant John Linehan. He had been on Tom Crean’s staff since 2019, and has also been an assistant at Hartford and Brown. More when this becomes official.

Buzz picking up about a current D1 head coach with ties to Shaheen Holloway + Seton Hall joining the Pirates staff. Stay tuned….
