HD was down for a bit today as we upgraded our server.  Thanks to the guys at Surge4 for being great at what they do and getting us through this!  Here are a few quick things that I’ve heard…

• It sounds like new Jacksonville State head coach Ray Harper has hired Chase Richardson and Jake Morton as assistant coaches.  Richardson was the DBO for Harper at WKU before joining the staff at Troy last season.  Morton also spent time on Harper’s staff at WKU, and has also been an assistant Miami and James Madison.

• I have heard that new Valpo head coach Matt Lottich has hired Jackie Manuel as an assistant.  The former UNC standout has spent the past four seasons on Wes Miller’s staff at UNC Greensboro.

• Pooh Williamson has joined Tubby Smith’s staff at Memphis.  Williamson had been with Smith at Texas Tech since 2013, and was also the first player that Tubby recruited at Tulsa back in the early ’90’s.

• The search form a new head coach at DII California (PA) has officially been re-opened.  This has definitely been a strange one…a lot of high profile DII head coaches and some HM DI assistants involved the first time around.  No idea why they are going back to square one on this.  More as I hear it.
