Daily Dirt – 5/15/19

A few things that I’ve heard…

  • James Madison assistant Tim Johnson has accepted a spot on Bob Richey’s staff at Furman. Last season was his second at JMU – he also spent four seasons on the staff at his alma mater Wofford.

  • It sounds like NC Central assistant Eric Wilson is the leader to replace Quinton Ferrell as an assistant at the College of Charleston. Wilson has also been an assistant at Western Carolina. Ferrell became the head coach at Presbyterian earlier this spring.

  • Albany Director of Basketball Operations Ty Conyers is headed to the San Antonio Spurs in an administrative role. A former manager at Albany, he had spent the past two seasons as Will Brown’s DBO.

  • On-campus interviews are underway at DIII Greensboro College as they look to replace Bryan Galuski (became the head coach at DII Eckerd). There are five finalists, mostly small college assistant coaches. More on this one soon.

  • DIII Calvin College (MI) is announcing their new head basketball coach today at 3pm. More on this one after the announcement…
