A few quick things to start the week…
Maryland assistant Bino Ranson is headed to DePaul. According to multiple sources, he will receive a pretty significant pay increase. Ranson had been on the Terps staff for the past 11 seasons.
Seton Hall assistant Tony Skinn has been hired at Ohio State. He will replace Terry Johnson who became an assistant at Purdue earlier this month. Skinn had been at SHU since 2018, and has also worked at Louisiana Tech, and for NIKE Team Takeover (AAU).
It sounds like Kevin Sutton will be added to the staff at Florida Gulf Coast. The veteran assistant departed the URI staff earlier this spring. He has had stints as an assistant at Pitt, Georgetown, George Washington, Old Dominion, and James Madison.
Former Syracuse standout Demetris Nichols has joined the Orange staff as a graduate assistant. Nichols played at SU from 2003-07, and was the 53rd pick in the 2007 NBA Draft (Portland). He spent time in the league with the Bulls and Knicks, and just wrapped-up a ling professional career overseas.
It’s been busy at the D3 level over the past few weeks. Two D3 jobs just opened, and one has been filled – I will be able to run with them later this afternoon. Stay tuned…*UPDATE: Here’s one of them: D3 DIRT.
