A few things that I’ve heard from the NCAA DII level…

• Texas A&M International will add Louis Truscott as an assistant coach. He had spent the past three seasons as an assistant at Western Nebraska CC. Truscott played in the CBA and over seas following his playing career at Nebraska (1998-2000) and Houston (2001-2003).

• Emmanuel College (GA) associate head coach Derrick Mason has resigned and will become the head coach at Eagles Landing Christian Academy (GA). He has been on the EC staff for the past eight seasons, serving the last two as the associate head coach.

• Simon Fraser (CAN) has wrapped up their search for a new head coach. The only Canadian NCAA school is searching to replace Virgil Hill who resigned after one year on the job. I have heard that the choice will be a candidate with NCAA DII experience, and not one of the five Canadian coaches who were involved. The official announcement should be made this week.
