Daily Dirt – 5/20/16

A bunch of things that I’ve heard…

  • I can confirm that Princeton assistant Donovan Williams has departed to become an assistant at Cornell. Last season was his first at Princeton where he worked along side new Cornell head coach Brian Earl. Williams has spent five seasons as an assistant at Lafayette.
  • I can also confirm that Sam Houston State assistant Matt Braeuer is on the move and will join the staff at the College of Charleston. He had spent the past three seasons on Jason Hooten’s staff at SHSU and was the the video coordinator at Maryland before that. He also coached at Midland College and was a graduate assistant and three-year starter at Wichita State.
  • I published the list of candidates at Delaware earlier this week (Delaware Dirt). I have now been told to add Philadelphia 76ers assistant coach Billy Lange to the list. The former head coach at Navy (2004-11) had also been the associate head coach at Villanova and the head coach at Merchant Marine.
  • Missouri State assistant coach Brad Korn will join Bruce Weber’s staff at Kansas State. He had been at Missouri State for the past three seasons. Korn played for Bruce Weber at Southern Illinois, and also spent one season on his staff in an administrative role at Kansas State in 2012-13.
  • Yesterday, we posted the DBO job at Albany. Sounds like this posting is merely a formality (state regs), as current DBO Simon Clement is still on staff. In other words, don’t waste your time applying!
