I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend. Here are a few things that I heard while manning the grill yesterday…
- I have heard that DII Shepherd University (WVa.) assistant Zach Thomsen will be named as the next head coach at SUNY Delhi. Last season was Thomsen’s first at SU. He also spent two seasons as an assistant at LeMoyne (NY), and was a player and assistant coach at Onondaga Community College (NY).
- Blinn College (TX) assistant Mack Cleveland has resigned. He will pursue opportunities in higher education administration as he is currently a doctoral candidate at Texas Tech University. Cleveland is the former head coach at Los Angeles City College, and also worked as an assistant at Western Texas College.
- The search at DIII Curry College (MA) is progressing. I have heard that there were 12 phone “screenings”, and then five candidates were brought to campus for one hour interviews. The next step will be to bring 2-3 finalists back to campus for a more thorough interview. Sounds like this will be wrapped up in the next few weeks.
