Daily Dirt – 6/11/20

A few quick things as another long week winds down….

According to a tweet from the Washington Post’s Steven Goff, former George Washington head coach Maurice Joseph will become an assistant at George Mason. He spent last season as an assistant at FDU following a three year run at GW.

Dannton Jackson has been hired as an assistant on Mo Williams new staff at Alabama State. Jackson had been an assistant at UAB for the past four seasons, and was the head coach at Xavier University of Louisiana for 13 years before that.

It sounds like Jordan Glover has joined Rob Lanier’s staff at Georgia State as a graduate assistant. Glover spent last season as an assistant at D2 Daemen University (NY) – it was his first season coaching following his graduation from TCNJ in 2019.

The search at Chipola has been an interesting one to follow. Many considered it done last week, but I’ve heard it’s open again. There are two new names in the mix – both former D1 guys. Will run with this once I confirm.

I have heard that Ky Klingsick has been hired as an assistant at D2 Alabama Huntsville. Klingsick had spent the past four seasons as a manager under head coaches Brad Underwood and Mike Boynton at Oklahoma State.

I’ve heard that change is brewing at an NAIA school in Ohio. More here soon….
