A few things that I’ve heard…

I can confirm that Denver will hire former San Diego assistant Jerry Brown as an assistant. Brown had been at USD since 2019 and was not retained when Steve Lavin took over. Before his time at San Diego, he worked as the Director of Player Development at Stanford (Denver head coach Jeff Wulbrun was an assistant on the Cardinal staff when Brown was there). He will replace Brandon Dunson who became an assistant at Stanford earlier this month.

Southeastern Louisiana associate head coach Mark Lieberman has departed the staff and will become a high school coach in the Louisville area. Lieberman had been on the SLU staff for the past three seasons. He had also spent time on Rick Pitino’s staff at Louisville, and Richard Pitino’s staff at FIU.

Dennan Morrow has been elevated to assistant coach at Jacksonville State. He had served as JSU’s coordinator of basketball operations since 2020, and spent five seasons as a JUCO assistant before that (Butler CC, Chipola College, Daytona State, Barton Community College).

ICYMI: D2 Dirt from earlier today – Army assistant David Belfield will take over at D2 Belmont Abbey. More on this move HERE.

I have heard the final four at D3 Ferrum College include; Cal Poly Pomona assistant Pat Corrigan (a former assistant at Ferrum), Randolph Macon associate head coach Dave Matturro, Guilford assistant Dom Parker, and Roanoke assistant Mark Slade. It sounds like this search will be wrapped up this week.
