A few quick hitters…

Tennessee Director of Student-Athlete Development Aubin Goporo has left the program and will become the head coach at West HS in Knoxville. This was first reported by the Knoxville News Sentinel. Before joining the Vols staff in 2017, Goporo served in a similar position at Louisiana-Lafayette. No word yet on his replacement on Rick Barnes staff.

Michael Poindexter has joined the Texas A&M-Texarkana staff as the associate head coach. He had previously worked with Texarkana head coach Ryan Wall at Our Lady of the Lake U (TX). Poindexter has also been an assistant at Huston-Tillotson U, Ancilla CC, Pima CC, and Indiana Tech.

Panola College (TX) assistant Todd Shelton will join James Stafford’s new staff at Ranger College (TX). Last year was Shelton’s first at Panola after serving as an assistant at Garden City CC (KS). He also spent time as the DBO at North Texas.

Speaking of Garden City…former GCCC head coach Patrick Nee has joined the staff at JUCO Advocate. Nee, who has also been the head coach at Independence CC and Highland CC, will be a great addition to the JUCO Advocate staff.
