A few things to kick off August…

Dallas Cameron has been hired as an assistant at American University. Cameron, who played at Stephen F. Austin, was most recently a graduate assistant under Mike Boynton at Oklahoma State. He replaces Matt Wolff, who had been at AU for the past 11-seasons. An official announcement is expected shortly.

I can confirm that Ben Tanoff has been hired as the Director of Basketball Operations at Presbyterian College. Tanoff spent last season as the Director of Recruiting Graphics & Design at Georgia Tech. He has also been an assistant at Maine Maritime, and a graduate assistant at UPike.

Veteran coach Rodell Davis has been named as the new head basketball coach and AD at NJCAA Southwest Michigan College. Davis was most recently an assistant at Chicago State, and has also worked at Providence, Drake, and Loyola Chicago. SMC is restarting their athletics program this season, after shutting it down back in 1996.

It sounds like Rochester assistant Dan Kaigler is the leader to become the new head coach at D3 Colby-Sawyer College. Kaigler has been at Rochester for the past two-seasons, and was at D2 LeMoyne before that. The official announcement could be made as early as today.
