Some things that I’ve heard over the past few days…
- I can confirm that former Hawaii head coach Gib Arnold has been hired as a West Coast scout for the Boston Celtics. Arnold was the head coach at Hawaii from 2010 until October of 2014. He has also been an assistant at USC, Pepperdine, Vanderbilt, and Loyola Marymount.
- Julius Allen has been hired as an assistant at Sarah Lawrence College (NY). The Bronx native, who was most recently the head coach at Pratt Institute (NY), had a long career as a DI assistant. He worked at South Florida, Binghamton, Northeastern, Towson, McNeese State, Howard, and LIU.
- I can confirm that former Arizona State player Jerren Shipp has been hired as an assistant at Maine Maritime. Shipp has most recently worked at Fairfax High School (Los Angeles, CA) and with the AAU Program Dream Vision. From 2006-2010, he played in 129 games for the Sun Devils.
- Evan Elberg has been hired as the top assistant at The College of New Jersey. He spent last season as an assistant at Washington College (MD), and has also worked as an assistant at his alma mater Drew University (NJ).
- Cole Krizancic will be added to Ed Conroy’s staff at Tulane as a graduate assistant. He is a 2015 graduate of Ashland University (OH) where he was a four year player.
